Camden Digital Standards uses a hybrid model. A central team owns the system, and people across product teams help build it.
What the core design system team does
The core team is responsible for the overall system. They:
- set the rules for how the system works
- write and maintain the documentation
- review and approve all components
- design and build components that are used widely across services
What product team contributors do
People from product teams can propose and create new components and patterns. They follow the contribution guidance set by the core team, and work with them through the review process.
